What Extra’s are included in a Swings-N-Things Catered Outing?

  • FREE PARKING (Why have your guests start their day with a $8.00-$10.00 unexpected parking fee they will get at many venues?)
  • NO service charges or gratuities (No hidden extras)
  • Swings-N-Things outing posters to display at your company
  • Use of one of our decorated Picnic Areas for up to 6 hours. (balloons & a personalized welcome sign)
  • Welcome informational flyers provided to all guests at check-in
  • Grassy area for kids and/or adult games (volleyball, horseshoes, cornhole, etc)
  • Personal outing hostess to oversee your outing on the day of the event
  • Microphone and Karaoke available upon request
  • Reserved VIP Parking (limited) for groups of 200 or more

If we are having a Catered Outing, do all guests need to purchase an attraction package?

YES! EVERYONE that is part of your group MUST purchase the same type of package the rest of the group has purchased. We are an AMUSEMENT FACILITY.  Food, reserved seating, parking spaces is based on the premise that guests are frequenting Swings- N-Things to participate in their many attractions.

If we are having a Catered Outing, do all guests need to purchase a meal and beverage service even if they have purchased an Attraction Ticket?

YES!  Everyone in your group will have access to your designated Dining Area. It is extremely difficult to segregate diners from non- diners within this area.

Is a deposit required to hold a Swings-N-Things event?

A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm a date if your group is including one of our catered meals in your group outing.  (Call for details)

Can I take home leftover food from the picnic?

No.  Swings-N-Things is responsible for the quality and freshness of food served to our guests. Our all-you-can-eat buffets are based on in park consumption during serving times only.  Unfortunately, food cannot be taken off the park premises, or packed in “to go” boxes.

Can I bring outside food into the park?

No.  Outside food or beverage can be brought into the park.

When do I need to give the final number of attendees to Swings-N-Things?

The guaranteed number of persons for your catered meal is due a minimum of 7 days prior to your outing. If more guests are in attendance than the number guaranteed , then the actual number served will be charged. Payment for the food and beverage portion of your outing is due at this time minus your initial deposit. (Visa, Mastercard, cash or corp. check) Payment for the attraction packages is due the day of the event unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

Can we have alcoholic beverages during our outing?

Yes, but you must receive permission from Swings-N-Things prior to your event.  Only beer and/or wine are allowed to be brought into Swings-N-Things and is the full responsibility of the group.

No Swings-N-Things employee may handle or be involved with the serving of alcohol. Group must provide proof of insurance, cups, ice, tub etc. Group is responsible for bringing of and the removal of a keg from the park. Individual guests may NOT bring their own beer and wine into the park for consumption at the outing. ALL alcohol that is to be consumed by the group MUST be brought into the park as one unit and be paid for by the sponsoring company/group of the event. No hard liquor allowed. A police officer will be on duty when the alcoholic beverages are being served. A charge of $35.00/per hour will be incurred by the group for this officer.  (No alcohol can leave the designated picnic area)

What is the Ohio Sales Tax Policy?

Ohio sales tax of 7.5% will be charged on all food and beverage (not attraction packages) according to State of Ohio tax laws. If your group is entitled to an exemption from Ohio sales tax, we must have an Ohio Certificate of Exemption prior to your scheduled event.

Can I use a ticket purchased online for a group outing?

No. This rule is strictly enforced.
